| The Lone Bellow – The One You Should've Let Go Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
Super self- explanatory. The singer is letting the person know that they aren't good for them. While this person loves them and has tried making plans for their future - the singer is trying to tell them that it's wishful thinking. He/She isn't the person they should be with, they aren't right for each other. While he/she thinks of that person - it's not quite the way they think of them. Almost like being a female with a male best friend or vice versa, and having one fall for the other without them feeling the same way. "Come on my love, I'm not the love that you were looking for, I'm not the shoulder you should cry on, I am the one you should have let go". |

| The Lone Bellow – Teach Me to Know Lyrics | 10 years ago |

First - a lot of these lyrics are wrong. Aside from that, usually when I listen to a song I always see it as a relationship either gone wrong, in love or some aspect of it. But when I first listened to this song - I just had their cd on and listened to it. It kind of reminds me of Jesus/God and religion. It's not a sad song - it's played with a lot of enthusiasm and drums which makes me think it's a song meant to be happy and powerful. The feeling I get is that the singer is asking someone - God or whomever - to help him hold out his heart for something. In life you get carried away in moments and I think he's asking for a little guidance when that happens. "Teach me to know my number of days Hold out my heart from getting carried" When I get carried away in moments in my life - help me to be patient, be focused on what I really want. |

I agree with the guy above me. And I can relate. I'm moving cross country for law school on the East Coast. I've never done something like that before. Even though - I'm going on my own I still relate to the sentiment which is, at least I think it is, have the courage to chase your dreams, with or without your partner. It may seem crazy to everyone else - but do it anyway. You'll never regret it. But I do agree, this song is about facing the hardships with your partner in a new place. Being broke and maybe a little lost in a new place - but are happier than you've ever been at the same tie. |

| The Lone Bellow – Take My Love Lyrics | 10 years ago |

This song is about unrequited love in the best way there is. Most songs about loving someone who may not love you back is sad and hurtful. This song is having the courage to love someone despite how they may feel in return. When you love someone everything about that person becomes greater. All of the parts of that person that to them, seem weak or broken - to you are their greatest strengths and attributes. I think the singer is telling this person that even though, she may not choose him in the end to be with - he chooses to love her anyway. And that's the bravest thing a person can do. Love someone completely despite the outcome. "I know I might not be the one you take. I've got a heart, it ain't afraid to break. Take my love, take my love" |

| The Lone Bellow – Then Came the Morning Lyrics | 10 years ago |

First and foremost - this band is the real deal. They're even better live than CD. I've seen them in little hole in the wall bars and at a festival - and BOTH times the blend of their voices hit somewhere deep inside you. You get the instant chills. The musicianship is on point every time. They love what they do and it makes you love watching them. On to song interpretation. They're that good of a band that this song could mean multiple things to multiple people. The most common thing is love - a broken relationship that ended. It could be just a relationship in general - parent, friend, or love. The singer went through a relationship or a period of time that was obviously rough. The person on the other end of the relationship took a lot out of him. This is his way of saying that when that person left - everything got better. 'Then came the morning' is the perfect title. Without talking in circles I think this song is a poetic way of giving a big ol' middle finger to the other person in a relationship that ended. In the beginning, it's everything they robbed him/her of and by the end it's that they're fine and better off without them. "When the sun breaks the cold, run towards the light I thought you stole. Start to feel what I felt way before you broke down my front door, wiped my heart up off the wooden floor. Now I don't need your smile anymore" That's a giant I don't need you anymore and despite all the crap you put me through - because with the morning, comes a new days - a day without you, a better day. |

| OneRepublic – Life in Color Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
I'm not exactly sure on the meaning exactly but the feeling I get from the song is that - or well the feeling you get when everything is starting to go right in life. Whether that's you begin a new relationship when you've been on a personal hiatus or just a better day than yesterday was. "Well this is life in color (color) Today feels like no other (other) And the darkest grays The sun bursts, clouds break" That moment when you get a break in your life and realize that THIS is how you're supposed to be living your life. That moment when all the colors shine a bit brighter, the sun is a bit brighter, - just that feeling. There's some mention regarding a relationship or maybe the beginning of one? I usually go off of what I feel when I listen to the song because OneRepublic is that great of a band to where there's no real 'concrete' meaning - it depends on whose listening to it. So with that said - this song reminds me of that feeling when you're in a valley in your life and something happens that elevates you to a peak. That feeling of just eye opening joy. |

| Ed Sheeran – I'm A Mess Lyrics | 10 years ago |

@[weeclown5:1676] I agree I think he goes back and forth between the two women or whomever. I also agree with the last comment; it's either that or if you've ever been in a situation here your significant other admits to cheating on your but says that he/she realizes that YOU'RE the one he wants to be with. This is probably a shot in the dark but since "Don't" and this song are on the same album that it's about the same girl in "Don't". In respects to how he felt after situation maybe? "See the flames in my eyes" - Anger/jealousy. Kind of like, considering how long we've been together/known each other and our feelings, how could you do this? And reacting to finding out? |

After listening to this song a few times, I think or this sounds almost sounds like an admission of being unfaithful. Like when you cheat on someone, that guilt you carry around with you, and then when that person finds out. But I'm puzzled by the "put faith in my stomach" line, because I think he means that the person should trust his gut in these situations. So it could be about an argument where there is accusations of cheating or being unfaithful or that it actually happened |

| Catfish and the Bottlemen – Cocoon Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
I think this song is about a relationship that no one approves of. If you've ever date someone none of your friends approve of or like, kind of like that. The person in the song is basically saying, who cares what their friends think, he would "rather go blind then let you down". Whenever the singer is with that person, they're in their own little world, their cocoon. And he likes her/loves her despite what anyone else thinks. Love this band. |
