Incredible—it’s hard not to just hit repeat all day. I just get relationship ending vibes and not obvious spiritual overtones like Pneuma, but who knows? I think I’d even like this one better if it was totally instrumental. Fierce. |

He's Christian, he says--but he seems like the kind that don't fit in the reg box. To me the song feels like a call from beyond and a mocking of those who feel "real cool" but deny Who they don't accept or get, which to him is foolish n not that cool. It feels otherworldly, like a voice from an agnostic otherworld. Fun stuff. |

I think it could be a farewell letter of sorts to a woman he had some kind of affection for and maybe who reached out to him at some point when he and his wife were separated--and perhaps he's letting her know that he and his wife have buried the hatchet and all is known, and they've come to an agreement that "no more shall we part"...yet he still has fond thoughts of the woman and she's good in his eyes. It feels like he's a touch sad but resolved that this is for the best--it feels like a kind way of saying to the other "Get lost, sweet girl, anybody would have helped you, you know, and I may not be thrilled with my marriage as a whole but we are together, we do love each other and it is what it is--so your status in my life is beyond downgraded, it's been silenced by the decision and I need you to know it." My take, prolly wrong. ;) |
