| Everyone wants to post the lyrics but no one wants to state the meaning. Its really pretty straight forward. This song intends to capture a single point in time, and thought, rather then a narrative. This song is about privacy/intimacy between two individuals, using the setting of a beach or waterfront. In each of the main lyrics they are talking about how people are everywhere, in the part of the second lyric suggesting it was not always this way. The chorus points out why they need privacy (there is always someone who will make a joke out of this), to which it implicitly states person two has implied "well lets paddle out to sea where no one can hear us" | |
