I've always suspected that this song was at least partially inspired by the infamous "Girl in a Box" case (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidnapping_of_Colleen_Stan)--the Blake Babies song certainly is. Generation X women are *haunted* by this story--I know I am. |
