| The National – Demons Lyrics | 6 years ago |
| The line with “alligators in the sewers” reminds me of Thomas Pynchon’s novel “V.” The book has a section with a character hunting alligators in the sewers. | |

I just love intro of this song. Damn. This ethereal expression is just amazing. |

| Radiohead – The Present Tense Lyrics | 9 years ago |

The way I read the lyrics is Thom using his dance (and music) as a weapon against the world and all that happens (the present or present tense). He wants to keep it light and enjoy life (won't get heavy/keep it light and moving/do no harm). The line about freaking, deaf, dumb, blind sort of goes in hand with that. It's a pessimist' attempt to remind himself that he needs to enjoy his time in the messed up world he's living in. Beautiful song. |

| I can't stop wondering why Decks Dark and Subterranean Homesick Alien are both the third track on their albums and have references to aliens/spaceships. | |

This is the best song by the Black Keys that the Black Keys didn't make. Great tune! |
