So all the comments on here are about God, which is fine, but I wanted to post what I see this song as from a non-religious point of view. It's similar in some aspects so bear with me. Everyone has dreams or ideas of what they want, but only a fraction ever reach them because as people we either don't believe we can make it, don't have the courage or motivation or are afraid of failing. "You're the only one who knows, who I really am" This is one of the strongest lines I feel. That one person, friend, family, lover or peer who understands us more than anyone else does. They give us that push, they give us that motivation or courage. As the song says, they make your window a door. The chorus, this is the part that kicks most, more than most other choruses in songs. It reaches everyone, no matter their past, dreams, heritage, culture. It's the same for everyone, we all need to know who we really are, we all need to go further than we are comfortable than doing. This song, as I see it, is about acknowledging that person, and where they have helped you get or what they are helping you go for. It's that type of song where the first time you hear it, you wanna sing, like you've known it for years. |

| @[Situations:4884] Honestly, you are a legend. We need more interpretations like this, that really get into each and every line, thank you so much for this, it's the standard that we should have for most meanings. | |
