This song clearly convey's Lana's wish for there to be snow in tropical climates in the winter so that Floridians (and Colombians) can enjoy the White Christmases Lana was so fond of growing up in the Northeast. The lyric "white lines, pretty baby, tattoos" is obviously a metaphor for snowflakes, as each one is unique, like a tattoo. The line "turning diamonds into snow" further supports this theory. Lana mentions "Guns in the summertime" to further assert her distaste for warm, sunny weather. I can only assume that "yayo" is a phrase combining the words "YAY, snOw!" |
