| Barbarossa – Stones Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I think this song perfectly defines Barney's character. As well as his heartbreak in the past, the stones represent all of his evil deeds; his misogyny, his mistreatment of women, his lies, and his refusal to let anyone close to him. Its about a person who's beginning to feel guilt over his past experiences, which is why he believes its weighing him down. However he also understands it keeps him level headed and less vulnerable to pain or heartbreak. But within that, beneath all his evil deeds, there is good somewhere in him, and he needs to find it and let it out (Barney sees the good in himself from the outside of the restaurant but understands that given his experience, there's a chance he might hurt her, which is why he doesn't go in) | |
