I have followed my heart in my life… I’ve been on both sides of the belief… Trust me, there is something out their greater than us… Obviously, the music is meaningful in different ways… but I’ve followed Natalie from 10,000 maniacs to now… and God is in the music often… Trust me… This is the Athiest / No God / Depression case… Nothing means anything.. Why bother…Remember the baby?? Who came 1st, the mommy and daddy? Or the baby... If you can answer that question with out involving a higher power, you are lying to your self… No baby would survive on it’s own…So, a fish, came out of water and takes care of a baby… What? Big Bang theory is bunk. Natalie believes in a higher power, so do I. She is symbolically trying to get a point across. |

Agreed on the blame... This song is clearly an indictment on society. Who do you wanna blame? In the beginning it talks about how we are "marginalized member of a spectator democracy..." love, blood, lust, hate... the candy everybody wants... We are in a vicious circle here people. Give em what they want... Their eyes are growing hazy... They want to turn it on... TV, Sex, Love,... Everyone in this society blames someone. Anyone with a different view point is shunned with "Hate" thus nothing gets done. Democrats blame Republican's and vice versa... The bland leading the bland... this video has so many hints as to what it is about... Most people listen to the music and say, oh that is a good song. This song was written in effort to try to make a change in society... as many songs are... but they fall on deaf ears... People listen to the music, but do not hear it. They want to turn it on ... the TV, the cell phone, the computer...internet...etc... Turn it on... lust, Love, candy... that's what people want... People's minds are soft and layz and do not want to turn it on... they do not want to learn or hear different views. Try to persuade to see someone your views if they are different... Everyone is too busy pushing their own b.s. to even remotely think about someone who has different views... We are marginalized members of a spectator democracy... People are selected for us, then we select them... Mostly people care about the President... even though we still do not have a choice in that as these people are selected. What about all the other candidates on every other ballot, Governor, Senate, House, Judges.... We have 9 judges in this country that have life time terms that we do not vote for!!! We look at it and say well, that's the way it is... rather than banding together as a people and demanding change... they tell us what should be changed and 2 sides pit against each other... That's what they want, that's what they get... Who ya gonna blame? Your self. but everyone is going to blame some other group. |

When you close your eyes... don't it almost feel like nothings changed at all.... This video to me says...it is not just pompeii... remember it was part of the Roman empire.... The walls kept tumbling down in the city (Jeruselem?)pompeii is less religous.... We love... watch the video.. his place and the city is a sh#t hole. People's eyes blackend by the trick the kings, queens and emperors played on us. No more slavery. Yay! Yah right. The nobles still have all the land. Getting a business to be profitable is like winning the lottery. We [our kids] are forced to move away from family due to societal standards. As John Lennon said. A working class hero is something to be. To quote Jim Morrison 'you're all a bunch of f#cking slaves! Yet know one does anything to change it is the way it is. God forbid you talk politics in front of women... No one cares that the world is burning except a few and they are way outnumbered by the people who think they can make it. Most retire in thier 60 ' s after being a Slave during the young years. They believe they succedded because they provided for thier family. This is not success. It is merely surviving. God put everything here for free for survival. Only humans make sure they posess as much as possible. Trash is in the streets. No animsls. As the constitution in countries are for government 1st, people 2nd, animals only an afterthought to punish people for animal abuse which is laughable if you think about meat in supermatkets, resteraunts, livestock farms..we make animals our slaves and kill them for food.
