Jimmy Eat World – Scientific Lyrics | 8 years ago |
18 in 86 - Quran, Surah 18, Ayah 86 "Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."" |
Jimmy Eat World – Clarity Lyrics | 8 years ago |
My fav off the album. This CD is just brilliant: "Clarity", "Goodbye Sky Harbor ", "Lucky Denver Mint", "Blister", "For Me This Is Heaven", "Just Watch the Fireworks", "Table for Glasses"... The most underrated album of '90. Should be on any Top 10 or at least Top 20 lists of Best albums of '90 alongside with Nevermind, Definitely Maybe, Ok Computer, Ten, Different Classes, Urban Hymns, Californication, The Great Escape, Throwing Cooper, Mellon Collie... etc. The same story with The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips. |

Fucking no. God bless them for escaping from this cheap emo sound. Although the lyrics are good. Clair is a true masterpiece in comparison with this. |
Jimmy Eat World – Call It In The Air Lyrics | 8 years ago |
You guys a fucking crazy. "The Middle" is perfect. I've been fan of the band for a long time, but aside of you, idiots, I can see clear a steps forward from this to "Clarity" and, definitely, "Bleed American". It was a perfect progression of band, progression they made by themselves. Can't you fucking hear how far they've come in their ability to make a great, clever, mature records when you listen to, for example, "My Best Theory"? They didn't stuck in this raw, uncertain music and made their own way to record that they always wanted "Bleed American". They've spent their own money to make it, so they surely believed that it's the right way for the band. You know, I like a lot of earlier stuff like "Clare", but if you can't understand the progression of JEW, if you can't grow up with them, you can't consider yourself a true fan. Consider yourself an idiots stuck in time. |
Jimmy Eat World – Damage Lyrics | 8 years ago |
Nо comments on such a beautiful song, that explains so many relationships when your girlfriend doesn't really believe in your dream (I want someone who lives up to this grandeur in my head, and you don’t do much to sell me I’d be best with you instead), but you are still together... And you can't even explain why, everything seems to be broken up, but both of you are continuing to ask questions, change your point of view, try to live along (I just breathe you each day... If we both step up to own it, then I’ll take what’s coming first...) It's a shame, songmeanings, you're going deep down in a black hole with time... |
Jimmy Eat World – Goodbye Sky Harbor Lyrics | 8 years ago |
This part with reference to John Irving's "A Prayer for Owen Meany" is unbelievably wonderful!!! Again I shall ask you this once again And again He said, I am but one small instrument Do you remember that? But for me, still Clarity=Bleed American, kinda like meaning and senses=power and groove))) |
Manic Street Preachers – A Song For Departure Lyrics | 9 years ago |
@Mortonium Ice Every time I hear 1985, I badly feel that other well-known "year-named" songs are so much better, that I can't really jump into year 1985. In this kind of terms TSP "1979" or even Blunt's "1973" no doubt are better than "1985". So, "A Song For Departure" is the no brainer best song off the "Lifeblood". |

@[Joekubrick:1943] It's a no brainer best song off the album, that I like less than any other album Manics ever wrote. |
Suede – One Hit to the Body Lyrics | 9 years ago |
One of the few good songs off the album and no comments... Straight to "Must listen" and "Greatest hits"! |
The White Buffalo – Love Song #1 Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"'Til you blew in just like paper in the wind..." - one of the best love songs of new rock-music era. |
The White Buffalo – Damned Lyrics | 10 years ago |
"damned if you do, damned if you don't well, I wish you would, but I think you won't" - just brilliant. He got really good if not the best lyrics of adult love songs (Love Song #1 etc...) |
The White Buffalo – The Whistler Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Another great song by The White Buffalo – Oh Darlin, What Have I Done has almost the same meaning. So, this song's about evil spirits inside of you, that makes you a different person, a monster. You are trying so hard to keep it inside of you, but sometimes it doesn't work. Some thing happened and it blows your mind, you can't control yourself and do the shit that will make you regret for the rest of your life... Often such a crazy situations happens when you're in relations with girl, you probably love her, but can't stop doubting and settle down. Then you make huge mistakes... Actually, "The Whistler" is murderer, character of the same named American radio mystery drama. |

The White Buffalo is not very popular here... Big mistake! Great song. I often listen neo-cantry with the likes of Eels, Pagoda - they mix up pretty well.
