In my opinion,this song means,that we are kings of our own imagination: "I am the king of my own land" The land might be the imagination,because you are the only one who can rule your own one. "Facing tempests of dust, I'll fight until the end" Tempests of dust might be real world,our thoughts and problems that we try to solve and we forget to dream,so problems (dust) cover our mind and imagination (land) and we cant imagine anything but them.. "I´ll fight till the end" means that if we lose our imagination/dreams-in fact we lose our "perfect" fictional lives(hopes) where we are all free. "Creatures of my dreams raise up and dance with me" We imagine our own creatures in our fictional world,they might reflect us and our problems or situation-for example- fictional world is perfect-we are happy and we are dancing,and those creatures are happy and dancing with us. Also creatures might be the ones we fear of,or people we loved and they passed away and in this fictional world rules peace and we´re dancing together. "Now and forever,I am your king" Once again,we are the only ones that can rule our imagination ! (Sorry for my english) |
