| I think that it means that he (the singer) has been ridiculed or insulted because of his flaws, so he tries to hide them (and I have always buried them deep beneath the ground). He meets someone (the person he is addressing) who accepts their flaws and doesn't care about them (you have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve) and they don't want him to be perfect, convincing him to accept himself (Dig them up.
