They say when you're sad that you understand the meanings to the songs that you're listening to cause they reach out to you. That's exactly what happened to me with this song, I always loved it but never really understood what it was written about but I think I get it now. "A withered past and a blurry future My heart’s on an auction, it goes out to the highest bid I lived too fast and I know I will lose her But there is an option To die is to live in her head" This song is about a break up. Here he's saying that even thought there may have been good memories within their past that none of that matters because of what's happening here and now. He's unsure about what the future will bring for this relationship so I think he's saying with "my heart's on an auction it goes out to the highest bid" that he wants to fall in love again as quick as possible to make him feel better whether it's real or not. "I lived to fast and I know I will lose her" this could means that he rushed the relationship in a way that made her unhappy I believe and now it caused the fight that broke them up. The last two lines I'm unsure about but I think he's saying that maybe if the real him "dies" he can become the man she has in her head and he can please her and fix the relationship. "So I’ll hang on, never let go I’ve dug this pain into my chest (It’s dead) One last chance to reverse this curse You stole my heart, but I had it first Now I see you’ve got something to prove And nothing to lose so let me tell you the truth" I think this means that he's telling her that he's not just gonna give up on the relationship even if it's hurting him to hold onto it. "One last chance to reverse this curse" the "curse" is the fight that caused the relationship to break so he's saying that he wants to give it one more shot and try and fix things. After this he's saying that he loves her with "you stole my heart". The last two lines I'm thinking maybe she's trying to prove to him that she wants to be treated right and that she can leave the relationship without a second thought....I don't know. "A deadly wish but it should have come sooner A corpse and a funeral that I will never attend There is a light on in the back of this house But you’re not around To die is to live in her head" Here I believe he's saying that he's probably suicidal and the funeral is his. The "light" is an idea that he thinks could fix everything but the line "but you're not around" could mean that she's not there to listen to his idea because they broke up or that she doesn't like the idea and now the only thing he has left that he thinks will work is molding himself into her dream guy and killing off the real him Chorus "So, this goes out to the ones that fall in love And to the girl that filled my dark Last night, I had the weirdest dream That you and I drove up the darkest streets Passing through these city lights Closure for the kids that have died" In this bridge part I guess you could call it, he's saying that this song is for anyone who is or has been in his position and for the girl that "filled his dark" possibly meaning that she was his other half. The dream he's having is him and the girl together like they used to be and the "kids" may be him and her when they fell in love and now he's getting closure to the love they had Chorusx2 "So, this goes out to the ones that fall in love And to the girl that filled my dark " He says this for the last time to show his sadness about the split. This song really means a lot now because it's exactly how I feel |

| Of Mice & Men – Repeating Apologies Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Wow......I relate to this on every level and this is my ex's favorite band who I had these feelings for. Well this song is about a person who obviously apologized over and over again and wants to still be with the person and won't give up on them even though the other person doesn't feel the same | |

I think this song is about a relationship where both of them know its over and one of them still has feelings for the other but the other e doesn't care anymore. "(So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat). You show me hell in the most beautiful light. Your lies disguised as alibis. You know you're hell behind your beautiful eyes, A feeling I can't fight." Here she's saying that even though the person is putting her through hell she deals with it because she loves them. The second line is telling us how she knows that all these "alibis" the other person has are all just bullshit lies. The last two lines are saying how she knows the person is bad for her but she's still in love with them and she can't stop being in love with them " We're just a falling star. We're just a broken seed. And when an ocean parts, Will you wanna sink our dreams? I don't know what we are or what we'll ever be, So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat." The chorus is representing her realizing how bad their relationship is and shes asking the person what they want to do cause she doesn't know if they're gonna make it through this and asks them to "listen when you feel your heart skip a beat" cause that's describing knowing you're in love. "(So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat). You left me here without a breath or goodbye. You never even tried. You saw me then I was so perfectly blind. A love I'll never find." Here I get the feeling that they broke up and she just feels alone and like the person didn't even try to mend the relationship. She then says that the person knew that she was blind to the things that they were doing cause she was so in love with the person and she thinks that she'll never love like this again" chorus "You're just like drawing scars and leaving hope to bleed. So if we fall apart, will I ever haunt your dreams? I don't know who we are or what this means, So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat." I can't figure out exactly what the first line means but it could be that she is self harming because of this or that these scars could represent fights and the blood be the hope, it's hard to explain. The second line is her asking if they broke up will they ever think of her before he sleeps as most people in love do or even think of her period. Now she's saying that she doesn't even recognize this relationship anymore because of how much it's changed and what it means for them and once again wants the person to listen to their heart if it says they're in love with her " Yeah, you said you felt the same, But now who's to blame? You threw it all away. Yeah, you said you felt the same, But then something changed. You threw it all away. Yeah, you said you felt the same, But now who's to blame? You threw it all away. Yeah, you said you felt the same, But then something changed. You threw it all away" Here it's pretty obvious what's going on. She's telling them that they said they loved her like she did them but they're the ones who stopped loving and threw the relationship away Here they just repeat the chorus and extension to the chorus and I explained those already. Hope this helps |

When I first heard this song it was during the very start of my breakup before it even got bad so clearly I thought it was about a relationship going bad. The first verse I thought about my girlfriend was crying because of what happened and how she just felt kinda numb. The lines "Wanting, needing, haunting, it's killing me" made me think of how we both wanted to fix things and how we needed these bad feelings to go away and how hearing that she was upset was killing me so to speak. The chorus represents the guys point of view and how he's uncertain whether this relationship was going to make it through whatever happened and he's asking her if they're going to make it another day and if she even wants to stay with him. "Fade in and out of reason to fight the way she's feelin' She brakes down - brakes down Going through the motions and holding onto hopes and her dreams now - somehow Shaken, mistaken, forsaken, it's killing me. Wishing you could change, but he's always been this way If you leave now - I'll drown" I decided to analyze this verse closely cause I feel it's in a way switching from her thought to his. The first line is saying how shes just coming up with even irrational reasons to try and make all the bad things in her head go away but it's just making her even more upset. The third and fourth lines are saying how she's trying to hold onto the hopes of things getting better and her dreams of their future together and thinking somehow itll make things better. The line "shaken, mistaken, forsaken, it's killing me" is saying how she's shaken up over whatever happened or both of them are and how they think that they've forsaken this relationship maybe because of a mistake one or both of them made a mistake and it's killing him that they're not like they were. The fifth and sixth lines I think that it is coming from both of them wishing they could change and shes saying that he might not be able to because he's always been this way. The last line is saying that he doesn't think he can make it without her Chorus When he screams yesterday it gets very heavy and I think he's just angry at "yesterday" which is representing the past where whatever happened happened. "This time, I'm sorry This time, I'm sorry This time, this time, I'm sorry for this time This time, this time, I'm sorry This time I'm sorry! " From this part it makes me think he's done something before and is telling her that he is genuinely sorry for whatever he's done He repeats the chorus two more times here "Will you? So Will You? Will you? " He's pretty much begging her for an answer and from the way he sings it he sounds really upset with himself and this whole situation Well this was my interpretation of this song. When I first heard this song I really related to it and it kinda helped me get through the bad feelings |

How I'm taking this song is based on what I'm actually going through right now. "My world's on fire My life's overwhelming Just breathe You're on the next train to life without me Time had nothing left to show so we found out A world on fire A life overwhelming" What he's saying here is that he's miserable and he's getting overwhelmed by it. She's easily moving on without him but he's still in love with her. The last two lines are saying how he's finally finding out how it feels to be miserable. "Do you believe in the words you said to me As you take away everything?" He's asking her if she really thinks that what she's saying to him is really true, and the second line is saying how when she left she took everything he had with her " I can't believe what you're saying So don't tell me The words that kill, the words that kill You're leaving" He can't believe the words that are coming out of her mouth so he's saying not to even tell him the words that "kill" him and that she's leaving him "I spend my time thinking about you Remember when we said that this would not end? But now you're gone I'm still right here without you A world on fire A life overwhelming Just breathe" He's saying to her (or imagining that he is) that all he does is think about her and does she remember when they said they'd be forever. The line "but now you're gone I'm still here without you" means that she's done with the relationship and is out but he still wants to be with her. Those last repeated lines show that he isn't over this whole depressing breakup Here they repeat the pre chorus and chorus which have the same meanings as before "So take back what you said This would never end The words that kill, the words that kill You're leaving" Here he's saying "Just take back all those "we'd be forever" times and words if you didn't mean them" and that him thinking of those times is what's tearing him up the most because obviously they aren't forever. This time around he repeats the chorus slowly and heartfelt without the last line "you're leaving" as if he's trying to convince her to stay Here he repeats the chorus as normal "So take back what you said This would never end The words that kill, the words that kill You're leaving" He repeats this one last time to kinda face it and when he says "You're leaving" for the last time he sounds really sad as if he's finally accepted the fact that she's gone Personally I can relate to this pretty much word for word and that's what my interpretation was based off of |

| Die Trying – Turn Up The Radio Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| What I'm pretty much sure this song is about is what all of us do all the time with music. It's about tuning out the world and everything around you and just letting music take you over and make you feel better. When he says "You'll be alright tonight just turn up and let go" he's saying turn up your music and it'll help you get through whatever you're going through. To take a quote from the late Mitch Lucker "Keep listening to music cause it gets you through everything, I promise" | |
