My interpretation of this song is of a girl who has been able to "catch" many guys who were in a way a down grade. When she was with these guys she tried to be someone she wasn't because she didn't feel as though being herself wasn't enough. But now that she really likes this guy, she feels nervous to really love this guy who is better for her(an upgrade). She's scared she'll get hurt after being hurt so many times but this one guy in particular makes her feel amazing and make her "glow" because she's finally happy and she is allowing herself to be who she is and not pretending to be someone else. She wants this guy to like her the way she is but doesn't want to finally fall in love with someone and get hurt because it'll cause another heart break. I know how it feels to be in this girl's position. It does hurt when you feel like you're not enough for a guy and change who you are just to please him. But now I've learned never to change who you are for anyone. If they don't think you're beautiful when you're yourself, they're not good for you. |
