| Lera Lynn – It Only Takes One Shot Lyrics | 6 years ago |

Many things in these lyrics escape me, such as: "two can be undone by three" Would appreciate anyone who could shed some light over that section. One thing is certain, for all the elements of cacophony as metaphor for this love are there: "When lovers of the future read these lines A sound of steel and thunder Will echo in their minds ,this love wasn't easy and it is no more. Maybe when she sings that "I took it for a long, long time And a woman can take a lot" she is describing some sort of abuse, and that would be confirmed as the psychological type when she says "You were there To see me beg and kneel What kind of man would ask me then If he could make a deal? I may be completely off target here, maybe just mirroring own feelings with those of Lera, but the emotional load of this song is inescapable, and it is heavy! |

| Whitey – Let's Fake Love Lyrics | 7 years ago |

A side comment into the artist himself before i go to the lyrics of this specific song; Whitey is a musical genius with less apreciation for his talents in this XXi century than he should have in the last 20 years of musical industry blank shots. This tracks lyrics are obvious from the track tittle to any of the verses throughout. In the end, he's not looking to fake love, though he know it's the only type coming from this partner to whom he writes. It is obvious that he's on a path outward and forward, away from this partner who'll be left singing her love song, her lies. He knows the lies by heart, the fakeness of it all, the loving lines that mean nothing to said lover who nonetheless keeps repeating them as a mantra; a tapestry of loving deceit that the singer is now seeing transparently and leaving behind. |

| Depeche Mode – So Much Love Lyrics | 8 years ago |

Tastes may differ, but this one is the coolest one coming out of Spirit. The instrumental and rhythmic parts just have a feeling of getting somewhere, somehow, but moving, adding to the motion as it progresses. As for the lyrical part, this one doesn't take much guessing or figuring out, a demonstration of romantic love albeit somewhat masochistic: she can do all to him that, besides satisfying him, it does not take the love away, as if she is, in his eyes, set upon a pedestal. ...just my two cents on this really good track. |

| Whitey – Thank You (For Letting Me Down) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
|
You could say that it is about the record companies that messed him about and about which he wrote (his opinion piece went viral a couple of years ago: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/nov/07/whitey-tv-company-music-free-email) or it could be about some girl and/or relationship breakdown. Whatever these lyrics are about, they leave no room for doubt on Whitey's feelings: - he is well over it!...with a vengeance! |
