My favourite line.... "Everybody thinks that everybody knows about everybody else, nobody knows anything about themselves cos they're all worried bout everybody else." It'd be nice - in this day and age, to meet a guy without the pressures of technology on our life. This might be completely off topic but there's a guy I really care about. We get along so well. Yet when he gets a spare moment, even when we're together, amongst friends, he's on his iPhone checking social media, looking on Facebook. People are addicted to this kind of thing nowadays. People are losing themselves to it, people are forgetting what they want in a relationship, who they are as a person even because they are so consumed in the hype of other people's lives. Nobody knows anything about themselves because they're all worried about everybody else. More concerned what others think, care more for what others are doing. Jack Johnson's music takes me away - to a warm, beautiful coast, somewhere far away, with good company, a drink and sunshine. Why don't we get together and we can waste everything tonight - make love and forget about all the other shit. It'd be nice for him to recognise just how much fine each other's company can be without all that other stuff, but I really think we're in an age where we can't live without technology. It's sad. I've got on a bit of a rant, but just my feelings at present. |

| This sometimes reminds me of those people that hardly have to work for anything they have - they just get everything because they can. It reminds me of someone in particular, I think she's a fool. Always better than you, that one little thing extra in her life that makes yours feel that much less. She's fortunate alright, but deep down I see through it, I know she's not really like that, but at the end of the day everything just seems to work out for her and you can't help but feel jealous. | |

Maybe it's about the pressure people put on you to be that certain someone or do that certain something - or perhaps, even be with that certain someone in a relationship. When you talk so much about reaching a dream - and you procrastinate, become indecisive and all the little crossroads that come with life, sometimes you can lose sight of what it is that you wanted in the first place. People are almost waiting for you to figure it out, you feel like a failure sometimes that you haven't sorted yourself out BUT at the end of the day, why should we have to put that on ourselves, can't we just roll with it and see how things pan out. It's about our decisions, our relationships, our dreams, why do we feel we have to compare ourselves to others or maybe prove ourselves to people. Can't we just be. Calm, quiet and just be. |

Very much how I'm feeling in my relationship at the moment. I've got a great boyfriend. Everything to me. I just don't love him enough - well obviously not enough anyway as my mind is constantly wandering. Wandering to someone else who I really have feelings for. To me this song is about giving up what you've got to try and pursue something with another love, you try to make them happy, show them that you are worth it and you can change their life - but you sometimes get nowhere. You get very close to get a feeling from them that things might be mutual, then you're knocked back down. |
