Its a story about a couple who has been hurt by someone who they trusted (A fox that gains our trust, but then breaks it as he walks). They are depressed because they were "burned" by that someone (Can you chase the fire away) and she doesn't even want to leave the house. (She ran down to the house). So they "fall" into a depression and they sleep all day (In the fall, we sleep all day). The man does a little better as he tries to take here out (We climbed up to the top in worn out shoes) and he misses how it was (Oh I miss the comfort of this house) This is my favorite song on the CD. I'm surprised there aren't more comments on the song. |
