This is also my favourite Neil Young song. My parents brought me up on Neil Young, and I love the big songs, but this one is a special, more secret song. I've been listening to it on the Dreamin' Man live CD. I got the CD about a year ago and I have listened to it a lot throughout this year, especially when feeling alone. On Saturday night two weeks ago, I was getting ready for bed, due to get up and go running in the wilderness at 6am the next day. This song became my personal soundtrack to doing that. I love the great outdoors, and this is a prayer to the great outdoors. I think it expresses the feeling that we'll never be alone, because mother nature is all around us (as long as we protect her). |
