This song indeed is about girl falling in love with mermaid,but its metaphor A lot of our music is about self-reflection – I mean, all the lyrics are. “Majesty” is about a relationship I had, and I finally won that person back, because they were just not there where I wanted them to be, but then I realized I didn’t want it anymore. Emily and I wrote “Warpaint” together, which is a story about a conflicted person. Emily’s song, “Baby,” is obviously about a break-up. “Lissie’s Heart Murmur” is also one of Emily’s – it’s about somebody who just doesn’t want to live anymore. |
