Although all songs are open to interpretation, here's one: I would say it could be about falling in love in general, but the tone doesn't seem happy at all. It's simply about those times when even though you're with someone, you find someone else attractive. It's not something you control, it's just an "animal" urge, a "chemical" response. The singer has slipped and has been "caught" but doesn't plan to pursue a relationship since they've got "everything on track" meaning a life planned out. The rest of the song is introspection--why does this keep situation repeating and "echoing?" So it probably isn't the first time this has happened nor the last. |
