@[vphi:52005] I have the verse about "red light of the wrist" always felt as a suicide thought. Red light of your life going out from your veins after you cut. Also the other verse - without me even getting kissed - fits, in my opinion. The red light out off the wrist...and the unhappy guy, not ever kissed,might be gone. But he did not do it, he went on and he is happy about it ..cause there is more to come . |

| It is one of most scaring and terrible songs I know. Such peaceful, nice, calm music and singing. Such an idyloc, normal, easy nice warm evening...you can hear the bees and lids laughter doing home for dinner. And then everything changes in a moment and only all is darkness anger pain and fear. The death being described by the same poetry and lovely SandG voices is just...terrible. Together with a movie Threads and book The Road, this is the most terrible art-piece about nuclear war. | |

I love this song so much. Currently it one of my Most loved. I think it is about both you say here - about human help, love, support and friendship, and also about God or Jesus who are considered to feel the same for people. Iove this similarity. If I got married, Bridge will play there. And when I die, it will be played at my funeral. It fits for both perfectly, for man/wife help and support in hard times, and for Gods help and love at the end of life and also comfort for the rest of family. |

@[Had2comment:32445] - Hey, I thought the same about the funeral car. It fits to the strange and nostalgic mood of the song... I never thought about a wedding car. It makes no sense, if it was a wedding car, then the guy would not have to ask about Alice's reasons, right? First I imagined, was a moving company car for all her stuff. Then the idea of funeral car came... but it also makes no sense because "she" leaves with her head up, it must be Alice. So she is just and really leaving. But your imagination is really not strange, I think. |

I¨ve always interpreted this song just as a song about FLYING. Zephyr is a light aircraft used by amateur pilots. This is a confession of an enthusiastic pilot! I feel it like a kind of dialogue of pilot and his beloved plane. "Do you want to flash my light on..." "take a look, it´s on display..." "super friendly aviator"... "what a night to fly my kite on"... "coming down not, not today"... Maybe you won¨t agree with me, but it¨s not by accident that pilots often use words that can be used also for love or drug trip... to try to describe the magic of flight. I just feel the emotions of a enchanced pilot in this song :) |
