A lot of this song in my own language I see can it speaking about a split personality within yourself. -I will keep quite. You won't even know I'm here. You won't suspect a thing. You won't see me in the mirror. But I crept into your heart. You can't make me disappear.- The above I feel talks about when the split begins, the other is there, but you obviously cannot see them. Thus blackouts begins and it starts to take form, you cannot really do anything because you are not sure of what is happening. -I made myself at home. In the cobwebs and the lies. I'm learning all your tricks. I can hurt you from inside. I made myself a promise. You would never see me cry.- This top statement I feel brings the fact that this split can see everything about you now. Knowing how to use things against you because of this. The first part representing this is something that won't just "go away" and it will be there. ---- Throughout the song there are a ton of hints for this to be a meaning. When you suffer from DID, you tend to go through everyday feeling like something bad is going to happen, unsure of how the other(s) will react. And it slowly begins to take effect on your own mind, and it weighs heavy. The Devil Within, is how you will look at it for a long time. |

You know I completely understand how people will use the actual meaning of this song to describe it. But as I recall music speaks to everyone in their own way, and music is made to be interpreted from their own inner feelings. It's honestly really rude to tell someone that the way they feel about how a song speaks to them is wrong. Because it's really not. It's how the song speaks to them. Keep feeling people! |

Sketchy has a close interpretation. In further detail my way of seeing this song is. In the eyes of the man saying, he is possibly looking at another woman as a Goddess. Almost as if she is too good for him. Obviously he doesn't believe that she is around him in his life even though she is, and wishes he could do more for her. The lyrics also seem to say that she is in his life but not the way he wants, and that it hurts so bad that she is not. Remember everyone songs can mean anything to you. Everyone feels differently about how a song makes them feel. |
