Andrew Belle – In My Veins Lyrics 6 years ago
The way I see it, this song is about a break-up and getting over that person. Something happened "Nothin' goes as planned/everything will break", things went wrong and everything changed between them "Everything will change/nothing stays the same". The other person left "people say goodbye/in their own special way" and now this person is trying to move on and heal from the pain that the break-up caused and it takes time.
"All that you rely on
And all that you can fake
Will leave you in the morning
But find you in the day"
At first, you don't even know where to begin, but as the day goes by you manage to find a way to survive and keep moving and put on a smile for the world, you find something that keeps you afloat long enough to make it on your own and by the end of the day you see that you made it. But by the next day everything you had the day before that kept you afloat is gone so you go through the process again.
Oh you're in my veins
"And I cannot get you out
Oh you're all I taste
At night inside of my mouth
Oh you run away
Cause I am not what you found
Oh you're in my veins
And I cannot get you out."
That's pretty self explanatory. The person can't get over the other person. The feelings are strong and it's hard to get over them.
"And nobody here's perfect
Oh but everyone's to blame"
Everyone makes mistakes because that's our nature so everyone's going to have some share of the blame.
"Everything is dark.
It's more than you can take.
But you catch a glimpse of sun light.
Shinin', Shinin' down on your face."
The pain is overwhelming and you can't handle it but there's hope. Someone or something is out there ready to help you through it all.

That's just how I see it. I went through something like this so I can relate to it but I love the song anyway. :) I heard it in two TV shows: first, The Vampire Diaries, and second, Castle.
