If this is the proper lyrics and not just something people keep copy pasting from every other lyrics site, then it doesn't make any sense at all and my version of the song is the only one which futures real sentences. But even when about 70% of the lyrics are easy to make out, the rest are mainly just random guesses. Anyway, as for what the lyrics mean; it's basically nothing but "Live each day as it comes. Enjoy what you get and be sure to have someone to share it with". |

To me the song isn't about self harm at all, but rather about domestic violence. The line "I dreamt of a devil that knew her" means the husband/boyfriend of the dying girl and that he is the one who has been hurting her. |

It's about someone who has been told that there's something wrong with them because they're different. This song tells you that there's nothing wrong with you - they are the ones who are wrong. Basically: live your life, don't care what others think. |
