Peter Frampton – Lines on My Face Lyrics 12 years ago
This song sounds like a heartbroken guy who has discovered that his wife is seeing another man. When he tries to talk to her, she just stares at him with ice in her eyes, reminding him that they have become strangers, they don't even sleep together anymore. He accepts that the marriage is over, but he has to find a way to keep going, he still has bills to pay. Now he laughs to keep from crying. Friends try to console him, to make him smile, but it will take time to heal the pain. So sad....

Peter Frampton – Show Me The Way Lyrics 12 years ago
Wow, this song is a tangle of complicated emotions. Sounds like a guy who is overwhelmed with the craziness that his life has become. He feels like he is being sucked down, as in a whirlpool, his nerves are shredded, he needs someone to stop the craziness and tell him what to do. Sometimes it even sounds like a desperate prayer. Fabulous song, all-time fave Frampton!

Peter Frampton – Baby, I Love Your Way Lyrics 12 years ago
I was thinking he wrote this song for Penny McCall, who was his girlfriend at the time. You are right, PKF was sooo hot in the 70's !

Peter Frampton – It's a Plain Shame Lyrics 12 years ago
I think this song is about the sexual temptations that confront a rock-star. In it, he describes a seductive, way-too-young groupie knocking on his door late at night, dressed provocatively, offering herself to him. From past mistakes, he has learned to just say "bye-bye". But she persists, weakens his resolve, and finally he gives in..."let's get arrested, who cares how old you are?"
