Europe – The Final Countdown Lyrics 12 years ago
This "sci-fi" song is a metaphor for the usual couple who decides to give love a shot. They know they are heading for a total unknown adventure - love can ruin a person or be Heaven, we bever know - so they compare it to going on a journey through the cosmos, far and unexplored, from where they may not return. "We're heading for Venus" is way too clear. Venus being the symbol of love.

David Bowie – Station to Station Lyrics 12 years ago
I don't know what possible meaning or purpose this song had when it was written, but i know that at some point it was used with a very defined meaning: in the movie "Christiane F.". Anyone who has seen the movie understands the message clearly. The lyrics may speak of "cocaine", but in fact it alerts you to the dangers of another - much darker and without comparisson - type of drug: heroin!! The "it's too late" part is meant to give you a feeling of irrecuperablility. Heroin grabs you!! The song is a whole "watch out" cry.

Blue Stahli – Metamorphosis Lyrics 12 years ago
Plain and obvious, this is about the descent into the Hell of strong opiates and the subsequent changes that the addict undergoes. But there are a vastity of other meanings that could be (cross)related to the lyrics as well, speaking towards a large array of listeners. That's typical in Blue Stahli lyrics; the artist never really opens the meaning to full clarity, leaving the appeal of the song available to as many as possible.

Lou Reed – Perfect Day Lyrics 12 years ago
This song holds a dark irony inside the lyrics. It clearly shows how lonely the addict can become - possibly because of all the problems related to dope use - but again he'll never be really "alone"... Heroin itself will keep him company, following him steady wherever he goes, in each pathetic walk, in every meaningless return home, to where nobody expects him any longer... In time, heroin becomes his only "friend".

Scorpions – Does Anyone Know Lyrics 12 years ago
More than obvious, the Scorpions describe a medical condition that can happen to us all after a big depression, often related to a heartbreak, called "depersonalization". We beggin to experience the world almost in the 3th person, as if we are just going through a movie plot along with the world, and nothing much matters around us. It often leads to fatigue and sleep disorders, such as Sleep Paralysis, wich makes the person believe she is going crazy.

The Cure – Lullaby Lyrics 12 years ago
For years i did not fully understand what this song was about. Child abuse and related issues have been pointed out. But now - after having a few episodes at night myself - i now have no doubt this song refers to sleep paralysis. It's the scariest of all the weird conditions one can find himself in. You get stuck in a sleepy-awake state, able to see but not move, and then the Incubus appears in your room, touching you, making you feel terrorized. Ghostly voices sorround you and that dreadfull man just wont leave.

Poisonblack – With Her I Die Lyrics 12 years ago
An addiction that makes you feel so warm, but at the same time gives you a feeling that with her you will die?? Takes half a brain to realise that it's about heroin.
