| Put a quiz question once... Who was Endymion in love with, and where he had to spend eternity. Played this song in background. My favourite Sonata song btw. | |

| @[angv:24608] Dickinson is a trained swordsman, and knows, once you get out of room (or cornered) you die. I think, he said it splendidly... | |

| My favourite Maiden's song. Quite obvious considering how much Dickinson loved, and spent time fencing. Though I always thought it said "One man, and his enemy" in chorus. How wrong I was... | |

| Right, and song says a story about when Selin stopes wisitin Endymion in his dream for whatever reason, and he is left alone in a dream that is turning into nightmare where he is all alone, unable to wake up. | |

| What I would like to know the most is are these "riders" reference to real people from our history such as Hitler, Stallin, Nixon, Sadam... ?! | |

| Possibly my favourite song ever. Journey to get yourself a better man, told in a twilight zone way. Amazing ! | |
| Sonata Arctica – Ain't Your Fairytale Lyrics | 14 years ago |

After all I think it actually is maby not about werevolves, but sang from perspective of the werevolve who is tired of watching wolves (his young ones) getting hunted by wolvers for sport, and their pelts. I think that "praying for the moon" is pointing strongly in that direction. I believe that learning what we tried to forget might refer to that wolves are here turning to werevolves, rather then man. "Pack they always feered" - could easily refer to werevolves too. "It aint your fairytale" - must to refer to final face-off that will see werevolves ended forever, but they wont remember it as their "fairytale", but rather dark experience that scared them for life, so might show them to respect wolves and start treat them better. |

To me key line here is: "One thing, I remember, before I fell on the ground... Although I never saw the face, A name was inked in his arm..." And it my opinion it states quite clearly that he was attacked by her boyfriend, husband, etc... He never sow who hit him, but he remembered arm that hit him, and her name inked in it. I believe that in single line it explains who he was, what he did, and why. "The family name stated I had seen before... Written on her front door..." And just when he was showed a list of people for whose deaths he is tried, he notes the name he remembered written on the door of her home. Then it hits him. What a brilliant song. |
