I heard in an interview with Chris Martin that he was trying to get to a girl who was seeing someone else ("but you pay me no attention..."). He was always playing the best friend and persevered through it ("I'll be there by your side, just you try and stop me."), finally telling her he'd even change to be more like the other guy, but she should be careful because "I'd change for good." He asks if the words he says make her shiver, and he knows that while he'd wait forever, he only has one chance before she commits too fully to the wrong guy. Moral of the story, Chris Martin is the perfect man hahaha. But seriously, don't reject love from places you don't expect it. You deserve the guy who will play the best friend while he waits for you and makes you shiver with his words. I chose my Chris, and two years later, we're about to get married ;) |
