I'm a local musician in Edmonton, AB, Canada. I like looking at other peoples' lyrics and seeing comments. And cringing at my old ones from when I was, like, 12 years old.
The Original Caste – One Tin Soldier Lyrics | 6 years ago |
@[goldsac:24149] Yeah man, I do too. I'm not even remotely religious anymore, however I really appreciate this song. I was like 12 when I wrote the comment. I'm 18 now, things change when you *hopefully* grow up. |

@[bmorgil:19151] @[isaac10846:19152] Geeeeezus, I did this? Lol I was like 12 back then, I had such a hard on for religion as a fundamentalist back then, and this is WAY over the top. I apologize for that guys, I was just stupid and opinionated about everything. |
Gordon Lightfoot – The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Excuse me there, I meant to say that Lightfoot was conveying the incident into a storytelling song. I don't care if the hatchways gave in or not. That's my opinion. |
Gordon Lightfoot – The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald Lyrics | 11 years ago |
It really doesn't matter in my eyes if information is incorrect: it's all just a story. |
Supertramp – Fool's Overture Lyrics | 12 years ago |
There are two prides: lustful pride and pride as in group: Jesus' followers. 'Stripped Him of His pride...' in other words group. You are wrong and have the wrong interpretation. |
Supertramp – Fool's Overture Lyrics | 12 years ago |
YES. YOU GOT IT MAN! |
Joe Walsh – Indian Summer Lyrics | 12 years ago |
What an underrated song! It's a great tune. |
The Original Caste – One Tin Soldier Lyrics | 12 years ago |
What a satanic song. I'm not kidding. Look at these words: Go ahead and hate your neighbor. Go ahead and cheat your friend. Do it in the name of Heaven, you can justify it in the end. There won't be any trumpets blowing come the Judgement Day On the bloody mountain after one tin soldier rides away. Excuse me, Judgement Day is the FINAL JUDGEMENT by Jehovah God of every soul; only the ones who believe on Jesus will be justified, while the sinners who do not know Jesus Christ will be judged "...every man according to their works..." and "...whosoever's name is not written in the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire." I'll say the chorus is street-talk blasphemy. Enough said. |
Supertramp – Goodbye Stranger Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It says "the devil is my saviour"? I don't think so. To me, it sounds like "the devil isn't my saviour, but I don't pay no heed." I believe what he means by "pay no heed" is that he doesn't fix his eyes on Satan. If the devil is his saviour and he doesn't pay no heed, than the devil isn't his saviour. Simple as that. I go by "the devil isn't my saviour, but I don't pay no heed." |
Supertramp – Sister Moonshine Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Well, I agree with the latter comments, but not the first one about drinking. |
Joe Walsh – (day Dream) Prayer Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I don't even know this song!!! SEND ME A YOUTUBE LINK OR SOMETHING!!!!! |
Eagles – The Last Resort Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Hi Revolver45, can you tell me where you got the information of both Don Henley and JOE WALSH being born again Christians? I'm a Christian fan of them both... |
Don McLean – American Pie Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Just a great song. I have my own meaning. |
Roger Hodgson – Along Came Mary Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I love this song by Roger from his 2000 album "Open the Door". I know a young lady who is 14 (I'm 12) and her name is Terra. She has helped me see a lot of things, she's a beautiful lady, nice, kind and funny, and I am also a musician, so, I dedicate this song to her whenever I play it on my Yamaha FG-720S 12-string guitar. |
Eagles – Learn To Be Still Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Well done. The Lord is our shepherd. God bless you. |
Eagles – Learn To Be Still Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I would not rely on ANOTHER MESSIAH, but one messiah. That one messiah is Jesus Christ. You should see that, the trouble with having confidence in ourselves is the danger of putting ourselves above this holy God. Anyways, I would think it relates to a twisted world that we live in now, and the same way it used to be 2000 years ago, without the twisted Zoroastrian, Mormon, and Catholic faiths and other false religions (keep that in mind). Come to Christ today, repent of mankind's sinful nature and you will understand. I am a rock musician myself, and I want you to spread this message. Every other point in your message is very good. |
John Denver – Rhymes And Reasons Lyrics | 12 years ago |
What do you mean? |
John Denver – Rhymes And Reasons Lyrics | 12 years ago |
What I believe the song means is that he's trying to share his understanding and knowledge of God. Although at the end of the song, it says Come and stand beside us, we can find a better way. What does that mean? Can anybody tell me? |
