| Lana Del Rey – Old Money Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
From Ultraviolence audio commentary, Lana's comment on the song: "Old Money is probably one of the tracks on the record that’s the most idyllic of them all. It’s more based in kind of, fantastical snapshots I have of being on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, like I was channeling something. It’s really my oldest track on the record because it’s, it’s a song that’s been in the works for about 5 years. It was called 'Methamphetamines' at first. And what’s funny is, I had to talk to my publishing company, because, I didn’t know that I was referencing a melody from the original score of Romeo and Juliet from I think, the sixties. It was so similar that, you know half of the publishing belongs to them as well now. But obviously I was channeling something really nostalgic. For me it’s also one of my favorite tracks." |

| Lana Del Rey – West Coast Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| In the chorus she watches her boyfriend dance while she sings, but there also seem to be a sexual innuendo. | |
| The Cure – Where the Birds Always Sing Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
"The idea is just a way for us to understand" I think the idea here is the idea of heaven or religion. The song questions why just dying is not enough for humankind and they want an eternal place to live in. Maybe, it represents the greedy side of mankind. |

| Madonna – Masterpiece Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I think this song is about falling in love, but it seems like it is one-sided love. It's like watching someone and knowing that he/she is too perfect to be with you, but still having some hope, maybe in the end never having courage to confess it. | |
| Lana Del Rey – Cola (Pussy) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Yes, she may refer how she tastes different to him as a young girl like how Pepsi Cola tastes different than Coca-Cola. | |
| Madonna – Swim Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song has two meanings, one is starting a fresh new life. However, if we look at it, it also seems a suicidal song; where she can't carry sins and want to carry the train off the track. Maybe she thinks ending her life will grant her a new beginning. She wants to swim to the ocean floor and her body will crash to the shore. | |
| Madonna – Falling Free Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Everyone interprets this song as a sad song, about break up and letting something end or someone go, but if we look a way around it can also be interpreted as a song about letting flow and Falling in love. | |
| Lady GaGa – MANiCURE Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| It's pretty obvious that the title has two meanings Manicure and Man Cure. I think it is a super female song. You know when women feel depressed about love, they always get busy with their looks. It's like a psychological cure for them to change hair colour, hair style and do smanicure, try something different, then feel refreshed. This is basically man cure! | |

Actually lyrics have connection with her past songs: Do you want to go higher? - The Power of Goodbye Put your arms around me - Fever Step to the beat - Into the Groove Get closer to the fire - Who's That Girl No more hesitation - Hung Up/4 Minutes Spoken part starts with "Haven't I seen you somewhere before" - Everybody |

| Madonna – Give It 2 Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| In her interview she said that the line "give it to me" means just come and fight me, try to punch me with all power you have. The whole boxing theme on the album comes from that too. | |
| Madonna – Secret Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I think this song is about the love of God. Her "baby" is God and the secret is the belief. "Things haven't been the same Since you came into my life You found a way to touch my soul .. Happiness lies in your own hand It took me much too long to understand .. You gave me back the paradise That I thought I lost for good You helped me find the reasons why" She's simply talking to God about how her life changed, how she understood things clearly after he came into her life. I always thought it's written for a lover but I couldn't fit that "Until I learned to love myself, I was never ever loving anybody else" line to it, but if you think about finding the love of God and inner peace, it fits. And finally "Something's coming over, my baby's got a secret" makes a lot of sense. The video itself has religious references and watch Secret DWT backdrop, it has religious rituals of Buddhists, African tribes, Sufis, Jews, Christians and other believers. |
