Evanescence – Everybody's Fool Lyrics
|
I honestly do not think she is singing about herself at all. She speaks of deep betrayal masked by lies; an ocean of lies. She believed a lie which influenced her perception of the worldanaherd, her world. The betrayer is without shame and seeks to exploit Amy's weaknesses and flaws while never knowing her at all, "have you no shame, don't you see me, somehow you've got everybody fooled." Once becoming completely damaged by the lies she claims, "you're not real and you can't save me," indicating that the guilty party perhaps wants to escape thier responsibility for the wreckage and become an icon of salvation while she is face down in the dirt. They are self indulgent in that they gain self worth from deceiving and manipulating others. |

I completely agree, and if you've ever found yourself in a situation such as this, you would understand just how difficult it is make the Right decision when your heart says otherwise. |

For once in my life (although I believe we are all censored to SoMe extent) I believe in censorship. This is absolutely absurd...they play this crap on school buses and I know that for a fact. No other comment (which should be an addition to "comment types"). |

Alison Krauss – When You Say Nothing At All Lyrics

Haha, whatever. I just do enjoy traditional elements such as the banjo, and especially the mandolin within rock (not that Krauss is), but it always throws me off and makes me want to better understand...my own lessons ;) |

Oh, and not only is Allison Krauss's voice angelic, she is also a bit revolutionary in the bluegrass genre as much as Emmoe Lou Harris, in that she opened doors for modern bands who are much more enjoyable than traditional bluegrass, but still remain true to their roots when music was more about story telling than the crap today. |

KT Tunstall – (Still A) Weirdo Lyrics

It seems as though she is singing, "a soul ecstatic" instead of, "soul less static" which would make more sense as she also sings of being optimistic. Soul-less static implies heartless and wavering, but a soul with less static would mean a resolute demeanor which also is not her message, I believe. Anywho, great song! |

Also, I find it funny that long time ago my gut feeling was accurate...toss in a few truths that could only be known by myself, and the lines begin to blurr. Oh, well. Not drunk yet, but plan to be at a local pub to hear my girlfriend sing karaoke. Fun. |

The Dirt Band did this song as well, and is how I discovered Nickel Creek...long time ago. It is a great tune and too bad we aren't face book friends anymore. That Sarah McLaughlin song you had on your page was a good one too. Oh, well, I can't stand face book because it involves actually conversing with real people, lol ;b |

Or a failed marriage, but I can equally hear this to be about God as well. The love that God has for his church is like that of a bride groom and bride, but more literally about an actual married couple who have tried years to make it work, playing a part. |

No doubt the remix is hottt! As for the meaning, from what I understand it was written for the movie, "American Warewolf in Paris," which pretty much sums it up..pure animalistic impulses to, well...yeah. And the song really backs it up! |
