| Quasi – Seven Years Gone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Few corrections. Seven years gone Skeleton pilots the ghost ship home He carried on, but now he's all alone Dead on his feet He hits the streets of Old Town, without a dime Sweet baby's breath Can bring him back from death any time Preacher Jack, high on crack Quote the Bible, pass the hat Damn the pimp, Gone the gimp Mike the Ape and Tom the Chimp Newspaper says: "We support the Prez, The war on terror ....Bombs away" How much is lives? And how much just got wise? I can't say Queen of Spades Close the window, pull the shades She had it made Back in the days of the flat top fade Stays in her room She owes the moon a fortune She could never pay She hopes and she prays But the moon won't go away |

| The Flaming Lips – Seven Nation Army (Harry Potter and George W. Bush Severed Head Mix) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

First off SNA was never "ground breaking". Second, Jack and Meg love this version, and have played it live with the lips. A fiber-optic jesus was birthed from this relationship. If nothing more comes of it thats fine. |

| Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Who the fuck is this guy? Tom Grant? Gimme a break. That whole not being able to shoot himself because of the amount of Heroin has already been disproven. All you need to do is go out and buy a copy of Kurt And Courtney. Some big university has on file pictures of a man with 3 times as much Heroin as Kurt Cobain had in him balancing on one foot. I've known more Junkies than i care to discuss, and by Junky standards Kurt was a regualr user. he was not the biggest dope head in the world. He overdosed many times on small ammounts aswell, showing that he was not a HUGE user. Anyways give it a break. Kurt killed himself. He was on alot of drugs when he broke out of exodus, wasn't thinking straight, and took his own life. End Of Story. | |
| Nirvana – Dive Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I dont know what this song is about. The person above me is probably pretty accurate. This was Courtney Loves favorite Nirvana song. | |
| Nirvana – On a Plain Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Wow, I was surprised about the interps here. I figured most of you would try to pick this song apart. It is about nothing. This song is the #1 example of how Cobain used random poetry to write his music. This is however a beautiful song. This is one of the songs that originally got me into Nirvana many, many moons ago. | |
| Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa. Ha ohh Ha. Whew. Couldn't stop laughing there. Kurt Cobains biggest Petpeeve was fans and music columnists over-analyzing his music. This is a song about absoulutly nothing. Cobain wrote most of his work out of his journals. Its mostly random poetry. Various lyrics like "Here we are now, entertain us" are lines he would himself use. He used that one when he would go to parties. Really guys, this is just a pop song. Cobain wrote it, recorded it, then said this is a great pop tune, and released it as a single. It does have a killer guitar riff (Which many think was stolen from Bostons "More than a feeling" and "Louie Louie"). A couple of times he live he would open up this song witht the "More Than A Feeling" riff, then tear into SLTS. Its the only version of this song I can listen to. | |
| Nirvana – Talk to Me Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Kurt actually wrote this song for Iggy Pop. He wanted iggy to have it. Its basically a song about nothing. | |
| Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song was directly written about Courtney in early 1993. It was played live 4 times, 3 times they played it during Soundcheck (Which have not surfaced on the net), and they also played it once live in Illinois on 11/23/93. This version has surfaced. The lyrics on the top of the page are to the 11/23/93 version. Kurt Cobain also recorded this song in January of 94 with producer Robert Lang. Part of the studio version has surfaced. This is known infamously for being Kurt Cobains last recorded song. it is not. Kurt did many home demos before his death. This song will be released at the end of this year on a Greatests Hits CD. It will most likely appear on next years (Highly Anticipated) Nirvana Box-Set. For all of you who think this song is a huge deal, it's really not. Kurt did many other great "unheard" songs that most likely have been done in the studio. But yes, this song is written about Courtney, and the studio versions lyrics are completly different. As a matter of fact the lyrics used in the live version are much, much more advanced than the ones used in the studio version. | |
| Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song was about people who listened to Kurts music, but had no idea the message he was sending in his music. HEY kind of like alot of you. | |
| Nirvana – Endless, Nameless Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| (Real Meaning). The real meaning is that there is no meaning. This song was originally a Lithium Jam gone terribly wrong. Kurt couldn't play the Lithium riff one day, and the band just started Jamming on this, at the end Kurt smashed his guitar on the studio floor. | |
| Nirvana – D-7 (Wipers cover) Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This was never on an official Nirvana release. it was put on a tribute CD called (12 Songs for Greg Sage and The Wipers". Yes it is a cover. The best versions of this song are 1) The track off Outcesticide 1 which was (I guees you casn say) remixed, and the live version he did at Reading Festival 92. | |
| Nirvana – Big Cheese Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song was written about the two Sub Pop owners (Poneman and Pavitt), it was later added to Bleach when it was re-released when they signed to DGC. | |
| Nirvana – Aerozeppelin Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| (The Right Interpretation). Kurt actually wrote this song as some sort of a tribute. Hence the name. He thought the it had a classic rock feel to it. When he was in his mid teens he was into bands like Led Zeppling, Chicago, and Aerosmith. He took the name from Aerosmith and Led Zepplin. The song has no meaning, it just has a classic rock feeling to it, hence the name. | |
| Nirvana – About a Girl Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| When Nirvana had played it at a gig for the first time Sub Pop owner Jonathan Poneman asked what the songs name was. The song at that time had no name. Kurt replied by saying "Uhhh. It's About a Girl". And thats how it was named. And yes it is about Tracy Marander. | |
| Nirvana – Milk It Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| The song was taken from a love letter Kurt Cobain wrote to Courtney Love while Kurt was in rehab. Thats where the whole her milk is my shit my shit is her milk thing comes from (That line and a few others). The rest of the song is random poetry Kurt use to write in his journals. Not every lyric he wrote had a meaning, as a matter of fact the mast majority of the lyrics he wrote meant nothing. | |
| Nirvana – Aneurysm Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Only if all of you knew how wrong you are. Anuerysm was written by Kurt in the late 80's. He had been dating Toby Vail. They broke up, and Kurt wrote this song to her. Yes it does have vague references to Heroin, but Kurt was not a regular user at this time. The song is more about Tobi than Heroin however. | |
