Thinkin' bout ya, ooh no no no I've been thinkin' bout ya, you know know know I've been thinkin' bout ya, do you think about me still? Do ya? Do ya? -This part is self explainatory. He is thinking about her and wants to know if she thinks about him too Or do you not think so far ahead? 'Cause I've been thinkin' bout forever, ooh Or do you not think so far ahead? 'Cause I've been thinkin' bout forever, ooh - Not only is he thinking of her he wants a future with her. To be with her forever and he wants to know does she think that way too or is she just living in the present. No, I don't like you, i just thought you were cool enough to kick it Got a beach house I could sell you in Idaho Since you think I don't love you, I just thought you were cute, that's why I kiss you Got a fighter jet I don't get to fly it though I'm lying down - Here he is being sarcastic when he says I dont like you I just thought you were cool enough to kick it. Obviously he likes her if he's thinking about her and calling her. The part about the beach house is just him being sarcastic as well. Random. -He probably didnt show his feeling why they were together thats why he says " since you think i dont love you..." he had her not knowing how he felt. I thought you were cute thats why i kissed you is him trying to downplay the situation but in a joking way. -Lastly the line about the jet is just him talking shit. Exaggerating. "Though im lying down" is a double entandra(sp) he means literally his body lying down thinking about her but he also means he is "lying" about the jet because he is "down" thinking about her. THATS MY TWO CENTS. |

I get a different meaning from this song. I don't think its about one specific relationship or incident. I think its about relationships in general. When you do all you can to make things right and you are the perfect boyfriend or girlfriend and then you get burned. "Who wants to be right as rain?" You get your heart stolen and you cry and everything is sad. Shes been there and done that. She goes on to say its more exciting when your wrong...true. When your doing something wrong it feels good and its exciting like cheating or whatever. Its like a game. Also, when you aren't the perfect boyfriend or girlfriend and then the relationship ends at least you can say you "chose to be alone" because of the decisions you've made. So like she says it will never hurt as much as it did before when they were both right. I hope that made sense. |
