I think this song is about friends with benefits honestly. Someone who he messed around with sexually, but then caught feelings. He must have been in love with this girl the way he speaks about her ''true love behind a wall'', or a temporary obsession cause where ''men and angels fall'' giving into lust. I think he wanted a relationship, but it did not work his way. He is also torturing himself cause he tries to keep living in this moment that has already passed. ''I can see a frozen point in time That is easy to retrace'' He is obsessing about a past event with a girl. He might just be looking at a picture or seeing visions of places they used to hangout or talk. He just wants to be frozen in that time. How long will I be here without you near because I'm so cold ''Break them first or I'll get broken is not what I was told, now I'm so cold I'm so cold, So cold'' Now that sounds to me like he was lead on, and he thought it would work, but the girl made a last decision to not be with him, after all they have been through. Now he is left alone, and isolated from her ''So Cold'' the reason he is away from her is because he cant handle being just friends, and he struggles with always wanting more. I love this song and i feel the same way for a girl in my life, and this interpretation is correct because i saw Klayton like a few nights ago and i asked him about this song specifically cause i connected to this song, and i wanted to know. Celldweller is amazing. |
