I think this song is about a married couple who seems to be in the process of a divorce. As usual negotiations between the two needs to be reached/discussed. To him it makes no sense whats happening and he doesnt know how they got to this point. Seems like he tried to make it work but she didn't care much. Him saying that "some things just are the way they are" is him trying to accept whats happening / his fate. "But tonight, it's all an ever lasting out of here The kind that makes my story disappear." I get the feeling he might be talking about comitting suicide? Love this song, it has a personal meaning to me. Thx ATB :) |
