| Karla Devito – We Are Not Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I think it's about the disguises(faces) people put on, hiding who they really are, and once you get rid of those disguises, how we are all the same after all. The living colors dull (hide) what can be clearly seen in black and white. When you cut down to the bone, you find out that everyone is not so different. And when your cover is blown, you find that you are not really alone, there are so many others just like you. |

| Evanescence – Lithium Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This is EXACTLY the meaning I got from this song. I don't have bipolar, but I've worked with many people with this condition during my Psych rotation. Sometimes, I've felt that we are doing them more harm with drugs than help. But then again, they need to lead a normal life as well. So I think I can understand what moosnator is saying. And I think that is what Amy is trying to say as well. | |
| Ed Sheeran – Give Me Love Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I first heard this in The Vampire Diaries. The way I see it, its about this guy who's still in love with a girl who has left him (maybe she dumped him , or maybe she died). And now there is this new girl who loves him and he loves her too. But he still can't forget his old love. He's still thinking about her and crying for her and getting drunk over her memories. But he also understands the new girl loves him, and he's feeling maybe he's being unfair to the new girl by clinging on to the old one. He's trying to move on. I could go verse by verse, but I think you get the general idea I'm trying to convey. (Come to think of it, the situation kind of applies to Vampire Diaries as well. From Elena's perspective. Since she's trying to let go of Stefan and maybe give a chance to Damon) Well, that's how I see it. |

| Five for Fighting – Superman (It's Not Easy) Lyrics | 13 years ago |

It's about how ever "heroes", people we all look up to as superhuman, are "only human" just like the rest of us. Just because they show the hero face to society does not mean that they don't have all the problems that us regular humans have, they just overcome them to become the hero everyone wants and expects them to be. And it tells us that its not easy to live up to everyone else's expectations, even if you are Superman. I love the way the writer has used Superman to bring out this message. We all see him as superman, but for him, he's just a "man in a silly red sheet". |

Great song! I think it means a different thing for each of us depending on our life experiences. In our relationship, I'm the ambitious one, always working to a goal, "going too fast". My boyfriend is much more the type who enjoys life slowly. Sometimes he pictures I'm walking too far ahead of him, and can't hear what he says. He tells me to go slow, and I do fall behind momentarily. But the second hand keeps unwinding. And I know if I get lost, he's there to find me and to catch me if I should fall. So to me, its all about a relationship where even if one person is moving too fast, they are always ther for each other. |

| Owl City – To the Sky Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song was used in the animated movie "Legend of the Guardians". It's a story about a young owl growing up & following his dreams. I think the meaning of this song is something like that. About the confusion of growing up when you are suddenly thrown into society(shipwrecked in a sea of faces), leaving home(bid the forest floor goodbye), following your dreams(chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery,) and "spreading your wings" (brace the wind and take to the sky) All the other lyrics then sort of fall into place. |
