| I'm thinking it's about Rebekah at the well. I've been doing this all night. Oh My Lover (either Rachel or Sarai), O Stella (Virgin Mary), Dress (?), Victory (Jael or Joan of Arc), Happy and Bleeding (Eve), Sheela-Na-Gig (Salome), Hair (Delilah), Joe (Mary Magdalene), Plants and Rags (Leah or Hagar), Fountain (Rebekah), Water (I read a story about a girl who walks out on ice, falls in, and gets decapitated but I can't remember her name and I can't find the story again for some reason)...I really didn't know the bible before tonight, but now I feel rather educated on it hahaha. | |

If you people really feel so poorly about her then why are you "wasting" your time reading lyrics to songs she's either written or redone? I like Courtney Love because she's always been more that what you saw. She has depth to her and a unique mind; I admire that much in her. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but that doesn't mean it's necessary to share it all the time. No one cares if you think she's a bitch or whatever, but no one deserves what people have done to her, especially considering they don't even know her. Don't believe everything you read in the media and try not to make opinions until you have all your information correct because otherwise they're just falsities you're posting because you have some childish need to be heard. |

I sorta like how songs can mean one thing to someone but something else to another person I saw this song in a way that speaks more generally to a relationship. It's saying that "even though you may not want to be with me as much as you would like me to think that I want you to take me with you and to bring me in close to you in a metaphorical way" Then in the "I PITY" part I think it's sorta talking to people who've been hurt, which would be everyone. Thats just what I got from it in a simplified summary so it may not be what Courtney intended to portray through the lyrics. |
