This song fits my life in so manny ways but heres what it means to me: She started imaging a paradise for herself that makes her feel happy, but then facing the world seems so difficult and she has a hard time. And then with the darkness part is about how she's not really living a real life anymore. She is pretending to hold in her happiness but really she's not happy at all. Then looking back she sees all the things that could have been if she hadn't been living in her paradise. |

I see where everyone gets cheating from this but I'd rather see it like this: Someone is always trying to be prefect but they know they aren't so they meet someone new that they can just loose control and be who they are around without anyone else there to care about. I think the last bit about "if I cut you down to a thing I can use, I fear there will be nothing good left of you" fits in this meaning like this: they fear that if the person leaves they will never be able to be themselves again and always have to be this perfect person. Or simpler: Someone tries to be perfect, meets someone who is just who they are and sees that they can be themselves around them. If that makes more sense. Thats just my thoughts on that. |

| I'd think it was simple but everyone seems to think otherwise. Its about not being the only one the way you are, wether you're depressed, just not cool, bullied, or not liking the way things are being done. I see it as someone who's depressed and saying how "and you're right I don't deserve but you know I'm not the only one" they shouldn't deserve to be depressed but they aren't the only one who is. | |

Ok so in general, not being specific this song is about being a place you don't like(wether its living somewhere, being with someone, being depressed, on drugs, anything) and wanting to get away,but not being sure where you will end up when its over. Like walking through a door and not knowing what is on the other side. If you stay, you wont be happy and mite become stuck where you are, but you can't know what will happen if you go. : "If I stay it won't be long Till I'm burning on the inside If I go I can only hope That I make it to the other side" And then in the song there are also people telling you to go so that just adds to your mess. Thats just my general view of it. |

This one could be taken a lot of ways. I don't like the way some make it a relationship because its a so much deeper song than that. It could be about just about everyone when they have a day they feel like they cant go on but they can. It could be about someone thinking about suicide and the other trying to convince them not to. I see it as someone who is kind of depressed and having only one person being able to tell and fooling everyone else "No one will ever see, This side reflected, And if there's something wrong, Who would have guessed it" and the other person trying to help. It could have any meaning really. |

This is my life song. Its not about actually sleeping. Its about not having a great life, or it may be great on the outside but on the inside you aren't totally alright then starting to Imagine a new world for yourself where it is exactly how you want it but making things worse for yourself when you have to deal with the world. Wanting to just Imagine for your inter life and never do anything else because you made a world of terrible perfection in your head. For me its the nights where you cant sleep so you create your own dreams. Its holding on to the perfect world so tightly and hoping it comes true but mostly being disappointed. Any way, thats just how I see it when I connect it to my life... bit depressing perspective really for such a good song. |

I love this song and all my friends are so confused because I'm a really quite person. ANYWAY, Pretty much this song is just about being angry and not being afraid to show it sometimes, not necessarily starting a riot (no matter how great it sounds,) but letting someone know your mad, and standing up for yourself when you feel walked on.: "If you feel so walked on", So painful, so pissed off,You're not the only one, "Refusing to go down", You're not the only one, "So get up" Thats my thoughts anyway. |
