Yes – Love Will Find a Way Lyrics 13 years ago
Symbolic song. This is is a lover of a lost era. One that believes love conquers all. Romeo or Tristan :) He is confused, as love is not logical. And his lover's behavior is not logical. Even time is not logical with love, for this is forever love - is she a past or future lover? He openly states the confusion of his mind. The mind can not always put into words what the heart feels! If you do not see the lyrics in this poetry, I suggest some study of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry :)

Yes – It Can Happen Lyrics 13 years ago
The song is about spiritual awakening.... about how it can happen to you or anyone.

Key lines:

1) "You can cut your heart" (you can sabotage yourself)

2) "You're pushing the needle to the red... Black and White, Who know who's right?" (philosophy, even in science - 200 years ago what we thought about the speed of light and such as drastically changed the "truth" and "facts" as we know them about the universe. "All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth." ~Friedrich Nietzsche ).

3) "Look up-Look down, Look out-Look around, Look up-Look down" (This is a common spiritual message in many religions. One example, Joseph Campbell covers the Navajo Indian Pollen Path: The pollen path is the path to the center. The Navaho say, "Oh, beauty before me, beauty behind me, beauty to the right of me, beauty to the left of me, beauty above me, beauty below me, I'm on the pollen path."

There are many more relevant lines in the song.

Yes – Starship Trooper Lyrics 13 years ago
Joseph Campbell in a 1974 Lecture: "All of our words refer to things and relationships of things, things either in the field of waking consciousness, or things in the field of dream consciousness.

The ultimate is not of things; it is shear uncommitted, undifferentiated consciousness, and this is what is known as the silence that surrounds AUM.

So AUM is said to be a four-sound syllable–A, U, M and the silence around it: A, the level of waking consciousness; U, dream consciousness; M, deep sleep; and the silence, that out of which the world comes and back into which it goes."

--------------

The instrumental of Wurm corresponds with M very well to me, So that makes Disillusion a dream of the future. And Life Seeker is rational thought, trying to speak what is beyond thought.

Thanks for sharing that milmont77.

His comment "That’s when I went through that very strong period of just sketching and writing whatever I sang as being a state of consciousness"

This song, and it's 3 parts, makes me think of the metaphor of AUM ॐ - Joseph Campbell does a good job discusses the meanings. A = Rational thought, U = Dreaming, M = Consciousness of silent sleep {deeper than dreaming}. Then there is the silence before and after AUM.

Anyway, the lack of lyics on the Wurm got me thinking of the M stage of AUM.
