Electric President – Eat Shit and Die Lyrics 12 years ago
For me this song is about living, or an absence of living - "Eat, Shit, and Die". I think this song directly links with Mr. Gone with the ending "Please keep from making any trouble". It's about someone who goes through life keeping their head down, staying out of trouble and never amounting to anything. In my view, anyway.

Electric President – Good Morning, Hypocrite Lyrics 13 years ago
This is a song about someone (presumably Ben) becoming disenchanted at the modern life and how it's affected nature. But the narrator also admits that he is complicit in it.

The last part is brilliant - it takes a dig at the general population like himself about the all-talk, no-walk attitude, then presumably criticises the upper classes or politicians, with their well pressed clothes (good appearances) with hidden little knives (their true intentions) and their increased powers through consumerism (the neon lights).

While this song is mainly about modernisation and the under-appreciated value of nature and the earth, it also has underlying themes about outside appearances (the hypocrisy of everyone that tries to sound impressive by criticising the state of things yet doing nothing).

Great song too!

Dry The River – History Book Lyrics 13 years ago
I assume that this song is about carrying the past with you - despite how 'bitter' it may be, it shapes you as a person and you'll eventually be better for it. And if you forget the past you'll forget who you are (forgetting your parents' name) or be like a church where nobody congregates. I could be way off, and some of the lyrics I can't interpret very well.

Interesting how they use religious imagery like crosses and bibles to convey their messages without overtly being religious. Loving this band a lot!

Gorillaz – Superfast Jellyfish Lyrics 15 years ago
Guys it isn't about anything specific. I think it uses the tune of the jingle for Gillette Mach disposable razor - from that I realised that the song is about disposability and how people dress things up that do not last. Sure, you can interpret it for yourself to mean more specific things like food and the music industry but the meaning is quite open.
