Fleet Foxes – The Shrine/An Argument Lyrics | 12 years ago |
In live versions, a verse is added at the end of the second section. This is what it is from what I can make out: "In the tide, look me in the eye, To never let you stay, In the night time, with the light on, Every light all day, In the ocean, leaving me no time to obey, In the morning, in the morning, In the ocean, washing my name from your throat, In the morning, in the morning." Radiohead – Supercollider Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The fact that this song hasn't been recorded is probably the best evidence that there must be a King of Limbs follow-up of some sort coming soon. This is just such an incredible song, it would be a shame if it weren't recorded. |
Radiohead – Separator Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Only one* that should say. |
Radiohead – Separator Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Am I the only that hears, "Wake me up and break me out" at the end, rather than, "Wake me up, wake me up"? |
Radiohead – Morning Mr. Magpie Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Fitting in with the nature theme, here's what Wikipedia has to say about magpies. Magpies (IPA: /ˈmæɡpaɪ/, SAMPA: /"m{g%paI/) are passerine birds of the crow family, Corvidae. In Europe, "magpie" is often used by English speakers as a synonym for the European Magpie, as there are no other magpies in Europe outside Iberia. That bird was referred to as a "pie" until the late sixteenth century when the feminine name "mag" was added to the beginning.[1] The European Magpie is one of the few animal species known to be able to recognize itself in a mirror test.[2] |
Radiohead – Little by Little Lyrics | 13 years ago |
When I listen instead of "I'm not idiot/I should look", I hear "I don't know where it is I should look", which sort of makes some sense. |
Radiohead – Give Up the Ghost Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Oh my goodness. Breathtaking. Just a note, seems like the last verse on the album version starts with, "I think I should give up the ghost." |
Arcade Fire – City with No Children Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Another one of my favourites off the new album. "You never trust a millionaire Quoting the sermon on the mount I used to think I was not like them But I'm beginning to have my doubts My doubts about it" Find this line really interesting. Is Win trying to say that sometimes he doubts whether the wealth I'd assume he's made has changed him? |
Arcade Fire – Deep Blue Lyrics | 13 years ago |
For anyone wondering, Kasparov was a chess genius, and Deep Blue was a software written by IBM that was able to beat him, back in 1996. |
Arcade Fire – Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Completely agree. Unreal song, my favourite on the album too. Just magnificent. I'd call it this albums version of "No Cars Go" Also worth noting, though I don't see how it fits in, "Mountains Beyond Mountains" is the name of a book about one of the founders of Partners in Health, a charitable group Arcade Fire is involved with, that has worked extensively on providing support to Haiti. |
