Can anyone else vision the final scene in the Movie "Scarface" when Tony's sister says her final words before being killed ? While Tony sits behind a mountain of cocaine awaiting the moment he will be killed. eerily enough this tune was released almost exactly 10 years before the movie, yet describes that scene almost prophetically. Really read deep in between those lines - paired with the Latin vibes its almost scary. |

On second note....Imagine a similar Catholic school setting. All girls. Except the narrator is a Lesbian. And what she's found is a sex toy ? Gender was never mentioned at all in favor of the narrator. As far fetched as these explanations are, nothing and i mean NOTHING can be put past The Dan. |

These lyrics bring to mind a catholic school summer camp setting. "Snake Mary" - possibly being this wicked old hag of a nun spoken of in the eyes of....yes im going to say it.. elementary school kids! When I read this, I picture a young boy discovering his erect penis, and in a lustful panic, is looking to coax Rose darling into attempting sex with him. The reason I chose young children, is because in many cases Catholic school ideologies tend to form repressed sexual desires in small children. And espescially with lines like. . . Make my wildest dreams come true - (every virgin boy has had those) You wont feel it till it grows - (basically assuring Rose that she will feel this newly discoverd boner for herself.) With only YOU and what I FOUND - (sounds like the youngin knows where that thing belongs.) The flash I feel - (Those chills of lust that tingle your boing twink up and down.) | I wasnt exactly stating I knew what the meaning of the song was. I was simply exploring the many possibilities based on my own personal feeling while listening. You sound as if you KNOW what the song is about. If you do...thats one thing, but if you dont, then are you really bursting my bubble ? If you know anything about Steely Dan, youde know that they stylize their music for a certain song and juxtapoze it against the lyrics to throw the listener off. Sure its Jazz heavy..but that doesnt neccesarily mean that the theme cant be western. Im just saying. | |

In My opinion This Is Describing a childs mind Realizing and Distinguishing Similarities between Ancient....and modern man. He hid in a cave pretty much for adventure, And saw the amazing World of a time Long before our own. Seeing the "ancient hand" brought to life the pastimes of the ancient world to his own current times. The following lines show him realizing that Man has and always will have inner yearings for advancement." NOW and EVER bound to labor on th SEA and in the SKY ...Every Man and Beast appeared...a friend as real as I " We as people of this modern world Tend to forget that Human nature has never changed. We were the same as we were Thousands,and thousands of years ago ! This child is clearly coming to that realization. The Last parts of the Song Show an almost disappointed Child..Seeing life for what it is. " This Sad design " Shows his disappointment during him seeing that History will forget about you.." A Wolly man without a Face...and A Beast Without a name " ..." Nothing here but HISTORY "... lost and forgotten. This child is realizing the Sadness of life and time in association with leaving your mark in history...some people will never be remembered. | I Honestly feel as if the narrator of this song is in the process of being detained by police." i decline to walk the line " ...has a slight similarity to the " Yellow stripe" Once spoken about. Think about it...When your caught durnk driving..You are usually asked to Walk that yellow line in the street. Yet our narrator doesnt want to do so...Because he knows it will show his drunkeness. " a Womens voice reminds me to serve and not to speak" may have been a female police officer maybe ? he also speaks of WORKING around his yellow stripe. maybe an indication to how intoxicated he may be during his struggle to walk straight! He knows he will be taken to jail.." My life is boiling over...its happend Once before" " I Wish someone would open up the door " Anyone who's been in the back of a police car knows That feeling of finality ! LOL " theres nothing left to burn" Drug Bust ?
