I think mjdny has a point. There are lots of "possibly satanic" meanings in the lyrics of this song. Just think about it: "Give me a reason to make you mine" If you want to sell your soul, you have to want to do it first, right? "I will devour you" "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to DEVOUR." 1 Peter 5:8 "Take all the pain away" and "Run away and let your memories go blind when I Devour you" When do all this happen? In death. But the devil wouldn't put it like "I'm going to kill you", he tries to put it in a nice, poetic way. "...so that I can Empower you For all eternity" Who is the only one that can do such a powerful thing? Only God. But we all know the Devil is the king of lies, so he only wants to trick and fool you, telling lies like this one and the one he told Eve. "The path that you are now taking Show me the reason to make you mine" The Devil wants the more people he can have following him before he is destroyed for all eternity. And don't fool yourself, I really like the melody of this song, but as soon as I analyzed the lyric I stopped listened to it. Because it was surely satanic? No, but because it is probably satanic. |

Well, I have two interpretations of this song. They are both about videogames The first one they impersonate the videogame characters. The whole thematic scenario resemble a videogame, all the monsters, the weapons and the nugget, specifically a horror game. "Everyday I die, Back to the start another try!" And "I got too much time on my hands..." make me think of the infinite lives and time a character of videogame have. In the end he just make fun of the pills, as being a stupid item, and that he feels that it is the perfect night to kill the enemies. The other interpretation is about videogame addiction, where in the chorus, the person who is talking is the videogame player. He sings: "Back to the start another try! I got the time so why shouldn't I? I got too much time on my hands..." The person who is alone and has a lot of time to spare end up in a videogame, trying over and over to beat the game, so he can kill his spare time. In the end of the song, the player is gonna take his medication to control addiction, but he admits its just useless to help him, as he gets ready to get his "shit" (weapons) together to assassinate some people like in those crazy school shootouts. |
