HIM – Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly Lyrics

HIM did originally stand for His Infernal Majesty in the very early stages of the band. However as Ville became more spiritual throughout the years he rejected that and created HIM. |

Michael Jackson – They Don't Care About Us Lyrics

I read on a fansite once that it says "We're deep in the fire, I'm here to remind you. Don't you sit back and watch the beating." I was forever wondering the same thing and had to look it up haha. Sounds about right. |

Bruno Mars – Grenade Lyrics

I think it was just showing the struggles he was facing just to get across town to see her (pulling that piano, almost getting mugged by the Hispanics, causing traffic, etc.) Pretty sure that scene is not directly related to the song at that part, but rather to show what I just explained. Hope that helped! :) |

Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal Lyrics

If he meant for the song to have sexual metaphors, he would not have literally stated "as he CAME into the window." Hahaha I don't think this song is about sex at all. I'm pretty sure this song is about a clean, smooth murder. |

Justin Bieber – Bigger Lyrics

In my opinion, as far as the musicality, the arrangement, and the overall musical sound, it's the most mature sounding song he has out right now. The sound is mature, but the vocals and the lyrics are very appropriate for his age. The song is about out-growing all of the childish stuff like bullies and playgrounds and realizing that you're old enough to actually be someone, and to love someone. It's a very cute song. Very appropriate for him. I love it :) |

Michael Jackson – Beat It Lyrics

Really, guys? Really? For those of you who don't have common sense or have never had a conversation with someone, the CLEAN term of "beat it" means to "get out." The song is about avoiding violence before it goes too far. His songs usually have great messages with the right combo of lyrics and beat to make it a masterclass song. That's it. There's nothing more to the song than that. No sexual undertones. Get a life, jerks. |

You missed the bridge!
'You make it so easy to just drift away
I can't imagine being without you
Don't think about, don't think about
Don't think about it
Don't think about, don't think about it'
Loveee this song. <3 |

Completely agree with you, razajac. The ability to love freely and live the way you want in a city with so many new people is I think what the writer was trying to get across. This is my absolute favorite song by Michael! <3 |

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's "does he do me that way" because during live performances, he often used to substitute the lyrics to say "does she do me that way". Just sharing my opinion :) |

This song is very underrated, but definitely one of his most beautiful vocally and lyrically.
Also, I'm pretty sure the lyrics are "All over, all over, all over..."
GORGEOUS SONG. |

Michael Jackson – Earth Song Lyrics

This song is so haunting and beautiful. It's crazy how this song is always overlooked by the media/people when, in my opinion, it's definitely one of Michael's best. But things that relayed a positive message involving Michael were usually overlooked. *sigh* I love the chorus. You guys are right, it's like the Earth is really crying. And the "I used to dream" part...gosh. MJ was always really good at making his lyrics simple, yet so powerful. I think the song is basically saying that we as a human race need to stop our busy lives, stop our 9-5, stop worrying about trivial matters and just take a moment to look around at what we've done with the Earth. "Did you ever stop to notice all the blood we've shed before? All the children dead from war? Do they give a damn?" Sadly, a lot of people don't give a damn, but Michael genuinely did. That's why Michael was and still remains one of the best.
(Btw, I'm pretty sure the originial lyrics posted are the right ones 'cause that's what they are in the HIStory booklet :D) |
