My interpretation of this song.......is that it is about two people who are lover's.....who maybe aren't suppose to be because of one having a significant other or for other reasons........but fell hopelessly in love anyway. Throwing glitter in the air to me signifies doing something because you want to, knowing full well of the mess it will make, but not caring about that mess because for that moment you are happy the mess is unimportant. Looked fear in the face and said I just don't care.......(again the unknowing of what might happen in the future, because of everything surrounding the lovers, but not caring because of being in love) The hourglass on the table............their time together is running out for now....... The walk before the run...............they have to go take their time at the moment, not rush it Half past the point of no return.........they are too in love to turn it around now and give up. They have come this far and there is no looking back they are going to be together.......but not just yet. the first time I heard the song, that was what I thought of. Two starcrossed lovers, hopelessly in love, but not being able to be together completely at the moment, but they are planning on being together. |
