this song is about being in some major depression. "wish i was to dead to cry" he or she wishes that he or she wouldnt feel any sort of emotion. "my self afflicton fades" sounds like he or she cutting themself or something related to that. any tyoe of self harm maybe? and it going away? "stones to throw at my creator" blaming god, or his or her parents or the depression. "masochists to wich i cater" masochist means the deriving of sexual gradification or the tendency to derive sexual gradification from being physically or emotionally abused, so maybe being abused makes him or her feel better? "you dont need to bother, i dont need to be" tellin people not to bother to try and help and that he or she doesnt need to be here. "i'll keep slipping farther, but once i hold on i wont let go till it bleeds" he or she will keep slipping towards the edge, but if theres any hope to hold onto he or she will hold onto hope. "wish i was to dead to care, if indeed i cared at all" wish he or she didnt have to act like they cared about certain things, they never cared at all. "never had a voice to protest, so you fed me shit to digest" he or she never stood up for themselves and took it and took it. "i wish i had a reason, my flaws are open season" his or her flaws are easy to see so they never had a reason to not be depressed. "for this i gave up trying, one good turn deserves my dieing" he or she gave up trying to feel better, and if one other thing goes wrong he or she might as well be dead "wish i died instead of lived, the zombie hides my face" he or she pretends to be someone theyre not and wishes they couldve just died. "shell forgotten with its memories, diaries left with cryptic entries" maybe he or she killed themself and they were just forgotten, the only memory of them was his or her diary full of depressing entries. "once i hold on i'll never live down my deceit" maybe they didnt kill themselves, maybe they are alive and well, but havent forgotten the crap they put up with. thats my opinion. anything i missed? |

| this song could be about anything ranging from abortion to the death of a child or the end of a relationship even. this song reminds me of my aunt who lost her baby daughter brylen who was a couple months early i think...she only lived for 2 hours. my aunt has a baby boy now named lance and we are all happy to have him in our life. the song to me is probably mostly about losing a child. im 14 though so i dont know how that feels... i hope i never do!!! | |
