I agree with you T. I can't remember if this song was released before or after the Pope picture ripping incident on Saturday Night Live but I think she definitely has problems with the Catholic church. All the talk about them being exposed and hypocritical sure seems like a reference to the that. Pretty prophetic when you see what's going on with the church right now... |

I know people interpret things diffrently but after listening to this song a few times, to me, it is clearly about the environment...a message to the kids of today to take care of the planet as they become adults tomorrow. - A family of trees is just that, a family of trees being taken down for lumber, paper, etc. - 'Control yourself, take only what you need from it'...don't be wasteful and take more from the planet than you need to. - 'Picking insects off plants, no time to think of consequences'...when you're a young child you don't understand how what you do is impacting the planet. Just my .02 :) |
