Twenty One Pilots – The Run and Go Lyrics
| 11 years ago
|
As a person who struggles with mental problems, I know that one of the hardest things is controlling myself. I have a good friend, who is my shoulder to lean on. I feel like this story is about that kind of person. When you are up at three in the morning contemplating suicide you feel like you don't want to burden that person, but when you are facing your past, you don't have a problem telling them that you need them to stay. |

Oingo Boingo – Only A Lad Lyrics

I think that he is serious about what this song is about. So he was often satirical but does that mean he hasn't the ability to be serious? I think at the end he sums it up with his opinion.
Also, WTF OINGO FANS?? COMMENT PLZ? |

I read the book "ghost rider" written by the drummer Neal Peart. He lost his Daughter to a car accident and later his wife of breast cancer although neal believed Grief was what killed her. He then Endeavoured on a Tour across america, mexico and canada searching for "his reason to live". the song "ghost rider" refers to the search for a reason |

Peter Gabriel – Mercy Street Lyrics

i am no expert so correct me if im wrong but i would think "warm velvet box" would be like those places in church where you confess to priests, making "to the priest-hes the doctor" make even more sense. i think that both "where your inside out" and "wear your inside out" both make sense however "wear" makes more sense, because Anne said such things in her poetry. "priest-hes the doctor he can handle all the shocks" Doctors make you better, so maybe the priest is healing her spiritually. Shocks, either shock treatment or the things that she is telling him are shocking but both make sense to me. "in your daddys arms" thats a tuff 1, because of the contreversy of the alledged sexual abuse, it could be her father, or jesus. Another possible religous entendre could be "kissing marys lips" being jesuss mom. or her mom. When i first heard the song i thought it was "kissing memorys lips" Anne Sextons poem 45 mercy street speaks of the past and hints difficulty remembering it. In "a curse to the elegies" she says basiclly not to linger with the dead or the past. so she could be kissing memorys goodbye. . .thats all

her moms name was mary. it could also be reffering to Mary (as in jesus's mom) as she was very religious in her later life. It could also be a mistranslation Mem'rys(say it quickly) instead of marys. Anne had strong and bizzare feelings about her past, and she could be kissing her memorys goodbye |

Pearl Jam – Release Lyrics

this song brings me to tears. my dad is a real asshole at times but once you get to know him he is alright. i hate to think someday i will have to bury him. this song will be on my ipod on that dark day.
on a different note wasnt eddie vedder an athiest? and he in the song garden sounds like he doesnt believe in afterlife so why this contacting his father from the great beyond? this leads me to think eddie wasnt really an athiest he was just not sure and had a lot going on. im sure many of us can relate. . . |

there is nothing wrong with me. i have been tested for countless mental diseases and the like. the school send me to therapy i dont need, and the people at school act like im a freak because im not like them. i have no problem with any of this because its only school and it doesnt really matter. when i said that my social life in school doesnt define me i had to go to therapy. i can really relate to this song |

i always thought he said instead of modern needs "money". i think he is talking about the fake things we put into our lives. not just religon but also how society wants us to belong in a very 'normal' way but he wont be taken. im pretty sure that the shadow flag is symbolic of something but idk what |

Pearl Jam – Deep Lyrics

i am very confused by this song. each verse gets more cryptic. the first. obviously heroine, the second is murder but there's obviously more to that. perhaps a mental illness? we know eddie liked to write about those! maybe he feels its his right to kill? the third has to be rape or prostitution. most likely rape. christmas clean love, thats like family. but this angel is visiting hell. and thus she gets raped. heres what trips me up. Maybe our heroine addict from vrs 1 and the murderer from verse 2 and the girls rapist from 3 are all the same guy. . . |
