The fact that he had enough time to waste on writing this for the purpose of satire, if indeed that was his aim, should not be praised as genius. You can give a sarcastic/ironic response to something without taking up pages on a website. This is clearly someone who has far too much time on their hands who should consider filling their time with more productive ventures. |

What YOU need to understand is that thegitsfan's response was ambiguous so i made the most sensible assumption, due to the fact that other people on this thread were saying Rebecca Black's song is satire. So I dare say it is you who needs to pull your head out of your ass. |

okay what you need to understand is that it's not satire, Rebecca was interviewed on abc and she is actually serious about this song. Even if you didn't see that interview, Do you really think someone would spend the thousands of dollars on a music video for a joke? Use your head thegitsfan. And madisonx22 I analyzed something roughly 3 pages long in a paragraph. I'd say thats pretty good. Also, There is no meaning to interpret here. This song doesn't have any metaphors or allusions or any deep underlying meaning. It's a bad song end of story. |

I'll tell you why nobody commented on this song. It's because this is the 3eb we all love. I'm sorry Stephen Jenkins, your a lyrical genius, but nobody cares about your political opinions. Stick to writing about what your good at. Songs about love and life and sex. That's the 3eb we love. |

By using big words to sound like your smart, you may have convinced other people that there is an underlying meaning in this song. However, in reality you are a complete idiot that is reading into to things that aren't there. This is the same thing that happened with the novel "The Catcher in the Rye." People interpreted things from a book that is about a whiny teenager who complains a lot into a message to kill Ronald Regan. Yes, a person actually attempted to assassinate Ronald Regan after reading a book that has nothing to do with him. I may be speaking on a slippery slope but this is the possible consequence of reading to far into something. This song makes me want to stop listening to music. If this is the future for music, then we should all curb stomp our iPods right now. First of all, Rebecca Black didn't even right this song so don't quote her on her lyrics. Second of all this song has no meaning to it besides the obvious, it's about an 8th grade girl's Friday. How creative. This is the downfall of our society. Your giving praise were praise shouldn't be given. That's why this is the lazy generation. Kids these days are being rewarding for doing half-assed jobs. Our system of reinforcement is all fucked up. You know how there was an "ignore Sarah Palin week?" I think we should just ignore Rebecca Black's career. |

I love 3eb, but if this is your favorite song, your missing out. Listen to their older music, it's a lot better. |
