this is my own personal opinion of what the song means, which was also influenced by the music video. i think this song is about how the most practical things of the world never seem to change, and once they do its like society finally woke up. perfect example would be obama. so many have said a black man would never be in office and then bam! its great, it opens new ideas to the world. course of history changes and when it does, for some its like a party.. =] like in the music video.
soldier on and cast your own, well, i think that means have your part in change. i love this song. andrew bird is the god of indie. |
